I’ve lived in buildings where the visitor log was a notebook and the administrator answered questions in a WhatsApp group at eleven at night. Everyone was doing their best with tools that were never made for the job. Wasiy started as an attempt to fix that for one building and turned into a product.
The admin side covers what a building deals with every day: who lives where, who’s visiting, which packages arrived, who booked the grill on Saturday, and what came in and went out of the accounts. Residents get their own portal to check their statement, pre-register a visitor or book an amenity on their own. Everything is in Spanish first, because that’s who it’s for.
I’m the only person on it. I designed the screens, wrote the API and the web app, built the marketing site and set up hosting and deploys. It’s live, and I keep adding to it as I learn what building teams actually need.

Define
Spent time on how building teams actually work before writing any code, then decided what the first version had to do and, just as important, what it didn't.
Design & build
One backend, two front ends. The admin console and the resident portal share the same code and the same API. I also built the marketing site and the emails.
Ship & run
Separate staging and production, tests on every push, and managed hosting for the API and the app so my time goes into features instead of servers.
